Do you understand your Marketing Funnel?
How much time do you spend considering how your customers became your customer?
The #marketing funnel aims to describe a typical customer journey and many people talk about the 3 funnel stages... Reach (AWARENESS) Engage (INFLUENCE) Service (TRUST/LOYALTY)
The reach phase of the funnel is about creating awareness in market. You can use SEO, Social Advertising, Google AdWords and more to 'reach' target audiences and create AWARENESS.
You will need a good understanding of your customer groups and their wants so you can appropriately target the right messages, to the right groups using the right channels.
Then you need an appropriate engagement. This means 'episodic' content; blogs, podcasts or other creative content formats. By delivering genuinely interesting, informative or valuable information that will engage *your* audiences over the medium and longer term you will build trust and create stronger sales leads.
At the bottom of the funnel you are marketing to your 'hot leads' and/or customers. The objective is to build more trust and loyalty which will result in a higher LTV (lifetime value) and faster/greater word of mouth recommendations.
